Institution’s Innovation Council and Department of Information Technology, CEC organized online workshop on Intellectual Property Rights(IPR) Management for Start-ups on April 10, 2021. The primary objective of the workshop was to make students aware about Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) and IP Management for Start-ups. It focused primarily on importance of patents and ideas for filing a patent. It also focused on importance of IP for Start-ups, Intellectual Property Rights, its types and the difference between a registered trademark and non-registered trademark.
The expert was Mr. Karan Puri, working as an Associate Vice President at Ennoble IP. The expert briefed the students about intellectual property rights and its importance in building a start-up, creating value proposition for customers and preventing third party infringement. He also laid stress on ensuring a rigorous research before initiating a start-up in order to gain fruitful returns in the near future. Dr. Ruchi Singla, Dean Research, CGC also addressed the students and informed the participants them about various facilities provided by RISE department.
