About Event: One day workshop on Laughter Yoga and Personal hygiene for health and wellness was organised in Village Maujpur under national programme of Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Government of India, called Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA), with the vision to development of Rural areas. This workshop was conducted in view of better health quality of life of students.
Objective: To raise awareness about the Health and Hygiene among young children, department of CSE conducted a workshop on laughter yoga and personal hygiene in Govt. Primary School in Village Maujpur near Landran, Mohali. The students were informed about the advantages of healthy eating, and other hygiene habits.

The team of 18students along with Faculty Coordinator Suresh Kataria from Computer Science and Engineering department organised the workshop.
Workshop was conducted in collaboration with organisation “Laughter and Silence”.
Students of school and college participated in laughter yoga session by Mr Harish convener of the event. Students and faculty enjoyed the session which made them feel relax mentally and physically. As laughter activity has many benefits like boosting immune system, regulation of natural feel-good chemicals in body and many other benefits it should be essential parts of routine for the students now a days.
Students were informed benefits of maintaining hygiene for having better health. As its need of hour to make students aware about keeping body clean that helps prevent illness and infection from bacteria or viruses. Simple 7 steps procedure of washing hands regularly is an effective way to keep germs from spreading was demonstrated. A hygiene kit was also distributed among the students.
