As declared by the United Nations, the World Students Day is celebrated on 15th of October every year across the world to commemorate the birth anniversary of the great Indian scientist & former President of India Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam who was also the recipient of Bharat Ratna Award for his rich contributions to the nation. The staff and students of the Department of Applied Sciences organised a special program to celebrate this day with great enthusiasm to recognise his love for the students and promotion of education in the country.
The program started by showing a documentary film on the various shades of the life of Dr.Kalam followed by motivational speeches by eminent speakers which included Author Sherry, Tedx and R J Arti Malhotra who narrated various stories about the achievements of Dr. Kalam which proved to be very inspiring for the students. The program concluded on a high note with a D J Dance Party which was thoroughly enjoyed by the students.
