Well Equipped Labs

Our infrastructure is dynamic in nature because of our constant attempt to maintain pace with the development available to us. The infrastructure acts as a facilitator for the effective delivery of our curriculum. The college is located on the outskirts of the city beautiful Chandigarh, adding to the prestige and distinction of the famous city. Just 15 minutes drive from Chandigarh on Fatehgarh Sahib highway, this great temple of technical education is enchanting the student community. As it is adjacent to an education center like Chandigarh and Mohali, this college has an added advantage of being the first choice for the students.

Engineering Facilities

The institute possesses well equipped and up-to-date computer labs and server room with the latest software and hardware which provides computing facility for the students as per PTU scheme of examination. We have the best of the expert to manage them. Labs consist of more than 350 high end PCs running Microsoft Windows 2k/XP as well as Linux with dual boot option on top of Intel Pentium IV processors & matching supporting hardware & peripherals. Three servers are available in the server room which is used as SMTP mail server, database server and general purpose use. The entire computer labs are connected by a high-speed (10/100/1000 Mbps) switched Ethernet network.

Mechanical Labs

The Deptt. Of Mech. Engg. possesses a well equipped workshop complex consisting of a machine shop possessing a number of lathes, planer, shaper, grinder & drilling machines, Carpentry shop, Fitting shop, Welding shop, Smithy shop, Sheet metals shop, Foundry shop and Electrical shop. Further, although the Mech. Engg. students have gone only unto the second year level so far, the Deptt has already developed

The Department of Mechanical Engineering has experienced, well qualified and dedicated faculty. State-of-art laboratories and workshops form an integral part of the Department. The infrastructure is updated on regular basis. The Department provides congenial environment both to the students and the faculty for ushering their professional competency and technical proficiency. To keep the faculty abreast with latest knowledge in the field they are encouraged to attend seminars, conferences etc. and to present their research work at important conferences. The Department plans to register itself with various leading technical societies. The department organized a national level conference on “Trends in Mechanical Engineering” (TIME-2008) on Feb 8th and Feb 9th 2008.

As per the requirements of the industry and the corporate sector an engineer is required to present the facts and the contents in the most logical manner. Apart from this, a confident personality can lead a group and is able to face any situation at corporate level. In order to inculcate such traits in our students the Department arranges seminars and invites eminent persons for expert talks. All these activities not only sharpen their technical skills but also help in building their morale. Another feature of the Department’s effort is the continuous development of the personality of the students by providing proficiency in soft skills.
