Placements: Our Strength
The placement of the students has always been the priority at all the institutions managed by Chandigarh Group of Colleges. CGC holds on-campus placement drives round the year. In last four years, various MNCs and big Indian companies held nearly 400 on the campus recruitment drives at CGC institutes.
This means CGC had one placement drive every fourth day. The drive for our students passing out in 2009 and 2010 is already on. Almost our all eligible students get recruited before the completion of their degree programme.
Corporate Resource Center is headed by Mr. Aman Deep Singh who has a rich experience in the industry, and has a proven record of industrial liaisoning and achievements in organizing trainings, conducting campus drives & job fests at a large scale. Comprehending the requisites of the industry, the acumen of the students is nurtured and groomed accordingly. A feeling of proud encompasses, when students get immediate absorption in the industry and CRC is given a positive feedback about the uncanny knack of the students.
With the exponential growth and achievements made during the past years, Chandigarh Group of Colleges has grabbed the top position among the other colleges of the region. This has been possible due to the dedicated efforts of both students and faculty. It is only with the untiring efforts of our training and placement team that we have been able to achieve our target of 100 per cent placements of all eligible students. Today Excellence is the buzzword at CGC.

|Accenture picks 350 during campus recruitment drive
|Accenture is a global management consulting, technology services & outsourcing company established in 1989 primarily as a technology consultant and systems integrator. It has offices and operations in more than 150 cities in 49 countries across the world. CEC organised a Joint Campus for 2008 batch B.Tech and MCA students where over 350 students are selected as Software Engineers with the package more than 3 lacs.
|HCL selects 101 from CEC Landran
|In a joint recruitment drive held at CEC Landran by HCL Technologies, 101 students found employment. HCL Technologies, a multi national software corporation having offices all over the world. These students passing out in 2007-08 would be getting a pay of Rs. 3 Lacs p.a.
|MPHASIS Selects 40 Students
|40 students were selected in a joint campus placement drive for 2008 batch B.Tech (CSE, E&C, E&E,IT,E&T) ,MCA ,MCM, M.Sc. (CS, Maths or Physics) students by MPHASIS, an EDS company at Chandigarh Engineering College ,Landran (CEC).
|Tata Elxsi Impressed by CEC Campus and Students
|Tata Elxsi, selected 20 Engineering students of ECE and CSE disciplines for the posts of Trainee Software Engineers in a joint placement drive held at Chandigarh Engineering College, Landran. The selected students were offered a salary package of 2.4 lacs per annum.
|Ambuja Cements selects 25
|25 students were selected during the joint campus recruitment drive held in Chandigarh Engineering College, Landran by Ambuja Cements Mumbai. The recruitment drive was open for B.Tech (ME, ELE, Chemical and Civil) students of 2008 batch. The selected students were offered a stipend of Rs 16,400 per month during their one-year training period.
|I-Flex selects 75 Students
|I-Flex, a software giant and an associate company of Oracle the world leaders in software technology development selected 75 students of CSE, IT, ECE, ME, EE, and MCA. The successful candidates were offered a package of Rs 2.7 lakhs.
|Tech Mahindra recruits 29 students
|Tech Mahindra is the 2nd largest Telecom software provider in India. Tech Mahindra conducted recruitment drive for BCA/BSc. students of 2008 batch at the campus of Chandigarh Engineering College, Landran.
|Satyam Creates History at CEC
|Satyam Computers-a top ranking software company of India created history of sorts when 550 B.Tech & MCA students of 2009 batch were selected in a single placement drive. The interview process included Written Tests, Group Discussions, Technical & Personal Interviews conducted by a team of experts from the company.
|Saint Gobain offers Rs.3.24 lac package
|Saint-Gobain, one of the largest industrial companies in the world in a joint placement drive at Chandigarh Engineering College selected 8 students on an annual package of Rs. 3.24 lacs. The drive was conducted for the students of 2009 batch.

Companies are requested to confirm their participation by sending the participation form (Download Participation Form) or Fill Online form
Additionally, companies are requested job description for the positions they wish to recruit for. Job Description, which should include position, responsibilities and a recruiting contact, will be instrumental in arousing the interest of students.
Companies will be allotted a slot in recruitment program schedule for conducting their final recruitment process. These slots are decided purely by cumulative student preferences.
Companies may conduct all pre-final assessments such as group discussions, tests and preliminary interviews prior to the day on which they are slotted. In order to make appropriate arrangements, companies are requested to provide information on their recruitment procedure. In particular companies are requested to furnish information on the approximate size of groups for group discussion, Number of interview rounds and approximate duration of each interview. Corporate Resource Center will solicit this information two weeks prior to commencement of campus recruitment
Offers & acceptance
All job offers should be channeled through Corporate Resource Center. No job offers can be made directly to any students. CRC will communicate the company at the earliest, information on candidates who have finally accepted offers. It is expected that when offers are made companies will make note of the specific terms and conditions as discussed and agreed upon during the interview and these will be explicitly stated in the offer form initiated by the company.
Organizations are welcome to make a pre-placement talk. This provides an opportunity for the organizations to showcase their corporate requirements and the job profiles.
Company presentations and pre-placement talks provide students with an opportunity to learn more about company and meet some of the key employees. Companies can make a powerful impression by exposing students to highly knowledgeable employees who can deliver your message and convey your commitment to recruiting at CEC. The schedule for pre-placement talks can be worked out in co-ordination with Corporate Resource Center.
Companies are invited to conduct campus recruitments on mutual convenience. If desired by the company, Corporate Resource Center, CEC can co-ordinate and provide necessary infrastructure and facilities for Joint Campus Placement in which the company specified Institutes are invited to participate.
The company can visit the campus for a Pre-Placement Talk either before the selection processes or can combine it with the final recruitment.
Training & Placement Office
The Training & Placement Office at CEC, Mohali offers unparalleled facilities to visiting recruiters. Apart from handling the needs of the students, the office caters to the needs of the companies ranging from logistics to interview halls. The infrastructure available is suited to make the placement process a comfortable one.
