CSE Department, CEC organized one week ICT based Short Term Course on “Big Data Analytics” in association with NITTTR, Chandigarh from 03rd February, 2020 to 07th February, 2020 for the faculty of various departments. Dr. Mala Kalra briefly explained Big Data Analytics. She discussed the Evolution of Data, Big Data, 5V's of Big Data, Big Data Analytics Applications, Challenges of Big Data and Big data analytics tools like Apache Hadoop, YARN, Hive, Spark, NoSQL databases (like HBase). Er. Shano Solanki gave Data Analytics Overview and also told about Python-Open Source Programming language. Er.Vipin Gupta presented a description of Hadoop, MapReduce and HDFS with practical example of Map Reduce Word Count Program. Er. Shruti Wadhwa discussed the Analysis of You tube Data using Pyspark. Er. Amit Doegar explained in detail about Advance Data Visualization and Plotting. Dr. Gaurav Kumar discussed the Knowledge Discovery from Bioinformatics based Big Data, Sequence Processing and Benchmark Medical Datasets.
