Applied Science Department of Chandigarh Engineering College organized industrial visit to Amber Power Solutions, (Mohali) for 35 students of IT-B and some other students of the department on 18th January , 2020. The students were accompanied by two faculty coordinators Dr. Vijay Kumar Sinha & Dr. Shikha Saxena. Dr. Lakhwinder Singh (HOD), Mr. Satish Kumar and Mr. Tejpreet Singh Bedi were the main organizers of this visit.
The industrial visit was intended to provide students of IT with required exposure to the working environment and practical knowledge about the present scenario. The main objective of the visit was to make students learn about development solutions in online live projects and latest coding technologies like Angular and databases.
Amber Solutions, Mohali was established by Col. R.J. Singh. He is a post-graduate in Computer Science Engineering and he has been working with the professionals in different software and IT services related technologies.
The company officials gave a warm welcome and a brief introduction of the company to the students. Thereafter, the MD of the company Col. R.J. Singh took the students to Lecture Hall and briefed the students about the basics of Electronics & Communications field and the concepts of Emb Sys & IoT . He presented the technical session in two groups in which students learnt about the Embedded Systems through the understanding of LINUX software. After the presentation sessions the students were taken to see around the offices and workplaces of the software developers. These interactive sessions were very helpful to the students in which they got motivated about their branch and future goals in their field.
