Mrs. Navdeep Kaur
Asstt Professor, Head of Department, IT

Mrs. Navdeep Kaur, Asstt. Professor received her B.E. with distinction in 1997  and M.Tech with distinction in 1998 in Computer Science and Engineering from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshtera. She is currently doing research on the subject of Distributed Database Security for her Ph.D degree from I.I.T Roorkee, Roorkee, India. Besides this, her main research interests cover many areas in the fields of information security and database systems. Her research combines both theoretical and practical aspects, addressing as well applications on a number of domains.  Current research includes:

• Access control systems ;

• Advanced RBAC models and foundations of access control models;

• MLS Distributed databases;

• Data mining and privacy;

Prior to this, she was employed as an Asstt. Professor at Chandigarh College of Engineering and Technology, Chandigarh,  and a full time research scholar at IIT Roorkee, Roorkee.

She has guided five M.Tech Thesis. She has published Thirty Four research papers at International / National Journal / Conferences. She is a life member of Indian Society of Technical Education (ISTE) and Computer Society of India (CSI).
